ABSTRACT
La presente investigación trata de un estudio realizado en una población de veinticinco pacientes que asistieron al área restaurativa de la Facultad de Odontología para tratamiento de prótesis parcial fija en el período de febrero a julio de 1998; en los cuales de evaluó el grado de funcionabilidad, estado de los tejidos bucales y aspectos estéticos de las prótesis parciales fijas. Este estudio comprende cuatro fases, la primera denominada "Determinación de los elementos de diagnóstico". Acá se plantea la justificación del por qué y para que el grupo investigador realizó el estudio de dichas prótesis, así como también esta fase lleva el objetivo general, que pretendió alcanzar en toda la investigación, los objetivos específicos, los cuales están orientados a cada una de las partes en las cuales se dividió la problemática en estudio.- También se establece los alcances y las limitaciones que se tuvieron en la investigación. Seguidamente se plantea cada una de las variables, deglosadas con sus respectivos indicadores el objeto de transformación de la investigación; así como también se definen algunos de los términos básicos que fueron utilizados por el grupo investigador. La segunda fase de la investigación es el "Marco de Referencia" que se refiere a la ubicación de la evolución del problema que se está estudiando. Este para su mejor entendimiento se divide en Antecedentes que es el apartado en el que se plantea lo que es la historia de la prótesis desde su inicio hasta la fecha, esto abarca como inicio la rehabilitación, cuales fueron tratadas por cada uno de los especialistas adecuándolo a la situación de entonces. En este apartado también se plantea algunos de los adelantos que se han tenido en elaboración de la prótesis tal es el caso de los materiales que en aquel entonces eran los mejores, por otros que han llegado a mejorar no sólo la calidad del trabajo si no también han contribuido a disminuir el tiempo en el cual se realizan dichos tratamientos, el tiempo en el que el paciente permanece en el sillón dental y algunos casos que han ayudado a disminuir el costo del trabajo. Posteriormente se hace una discusión bibliográfica, en la tercera fase del estudio "Metodología de la Investigación", se define el tipo de investigación, se detalla de manera precisa el tipo de técnica utilizada en la investigación como lo son la entrevista y la observación, las cuales fueron elegidos de acuerdo a los indicadores, siendo estas técnicas y estos instrumentos los que mejor permitieron explorar los indicadores. En la cuarta fase "Resultados del diagnóstico" se plantean los cuadros estadísticos y sus respectivas descripciones que fueron obtenidas sobre la base de los resultados de las hojas tabuladores. Además de esto se presentan las conclusiones y recomendaciones de la investigación.
This research is about a study carried out in a population of twenty-five patients who attended the restorative area of ââthe Faculty of Dentistry for the treatment of fixed partial dentures in the period from February to July 1998; in which the degree of functionality, state of oral tissues and aesthetic aspects of fixed partial prostheses were evaluated. This study comprises four phases, the first called "Determination of diagnostic elements". Here the justification of why and why the research group carried out the study of said prostheses is presented here, as well as this phase carries the general objective, which it intended to achieve throughout the research, the specific objectives, which are oriented to each one of the parts in which the problem under study was divided.- The scope and limitations of the investigation are also established. The second phase of the investigation is the "Reference Frame" that refers to the location of the evolution of the problem that is being studied. This for your better understanding is divided into Background, which is the section in which the history of the prosthesis is discussed from its inception to date, this includes as the beginning of the rehabilitation, which were treated by each of the specialists adapting it to the situation then. This section also raises some of the advances that have been made in the development of the prosthesis, such is the case of the materials that were the best at that time, for others that have improved not only the quality of work but also They have contributed to reducing the time in which these treatments are carried out, the time in which the patient remains in the dental chair and some cases that have helped to reduce the cost of the work. Subsequently, a bibliographic discussion is made, in the third phase of the study "Research Methodology", the type of research is defined, the type of technique used in the research is precisely detailed, such as the interview and observation, the which were chosen according to the indicators, being these techniques and these instruments the ones that best allowed us to explore the indicators. In the fourth phase "Diagnosis results" the statistical tables and their respective descriptions are presented, which were obtained on the basis of the results of the tabulation sheets. In addition to this, the conclusions and recommendations of the investigation are presented.
